On Oct. 29, 2018, Gov. Roy Cooper signed into law Executive Order No. 80, “North Carolina’s Commitment to Address Climate Change and Transition to a Clean Energy Economy.” The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality has created a website to provide more information about the order and its impact on state agencies.

The North Carolina State Legislature site will permit you to search for legislation related to climate change and for contact information for your state legislators. Using the three search criteria, select “bill text search,” “2019-2020 session,” and “climate change.”
